Longview Stake Graduating Senior YSA Conference

As participants of the 2025 Graduating Senior YSA Conference in Nauvoo, we commit to upholding the values of faith, respect, and fellowship throughout our journey. This code of conduct is designed to create a safe, inclusive, and spiritually enriching experience for everyone involved.

Respect for Others:

  • Treat fellow participants, trip leaders, and all individuals we encounter with kindness, empathy, and respect.
  • Be attentive during group activities and discussions, allowing each person the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences.

Spiritual Engagement:

  • Actively participate in group prayers, worship sessions, and spiritual discussions.
  • Be open to spiritual growth and personal reflections during our time in Nauvoo.

Responsible Behavior:

  • Adhere to the schedule and follow instructions from trip leaders promptly.
  • Respect local customs, laws, and property during our visit to Nauvoo.

Integrity:

  • Be truthful and honest in all communications.

Safety First:

  • Prioritize the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • Follow guidelines provided by trip leaders and exercise caution during any physical activities.

Positive Representation:

  • Represent our Youth group in a positive manner, both in actions and words.
  • Be mindful of the impact our behavior may have on the local community and other travelers.

Inclusivity:

  • Embrace and celebrate the diversity within our group, recognizing that we come from different backgrounds and experiences.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and included.

Communication:

  • Maintain open and respectful communication with trip leaders and fellow participants.
  • Notify trip leaders promptly of any concerns or challenges.

Personal Conduct:

  • Dress modestly and appropriately for all activities, considering the spiritual nature of our trip.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to any additional guidelines or instructions provided by trip leaders for the duration of the trip.
    By participating in this Graduating Senior YSA Conference trip to Nauvoo, we commit to abiding by this code of conduct, understanding that it is designed to enhance our collective experience and strengthen our faith.

All crimes and harmful or destructive incidents or pranks will be reported to local authorities. The consequences of actions taken by local authorities are out of our control.

  • Illegal or harmful substances include but are not limited to marijuana, marijuana edibles, vape pens, prescription medication that isn’t prescribed to the individual, alcohol, tobacco products, and so on.
  • Weapons include but are not limited to any device designed or intended to inflict serious bodily injury or death, including but not limited to firearms, knives (including swords, daggers, switchblades), clubs or nightsticks, tasers, and explosives. Other banned Items include fireworks; pocketknives; chemical irritants (e.g., pepper spray); flammables (matches, lighters); slingshots, airsoft, pellet, or bb guns; or other items that YC leaders, at their sole discretion, may from time to time prohibit.
